Chapter Communications

Guidelines for Comradely Communication in Digital spaces:

  • Be respectful to other members even if disagreements arise. Don’t argue in the group chats. Take it to the DMs if you must.
  • Even though this is a member-only chat on signal, treat the group as if it was public. Be smart.
  • Please refrain from sharing specific locations for events in the signal channels if they have not been publicly shared by the event’s communication coordinator, working group leaders, or steering.
  • Please keep discussion related to the items listed in the channel description. We do not want people to miss important information.
  • Don’t spam the chats. If you find you and one other person are the only one talking about a non-business related topic, we suggest you move to DMs.
  • If you want to add someone to the group, they must be a member in good standing. We would also like them to come to a meeting or have a 1-on-1 orientation first so direct them to someone on Steering Committee.

Official Communication Channels:

Members can make additional signal chats outside of these, however we ask that you refrain from formally associating them with Chattanooga DSA.
